Our pressure amplifiers are used in various types of industrial equipment designed to handle pressurized fluids (up to 7000 bar / 100 KPSI): waterjet cutting, hydroforming, hydraulic crimping, pressure testing, autofrettage, isostatic pressing, and high-pressure processing (HPP or pascalisation).
Hydraulic Crimping
Hydraulic crimping enables the assembly of metal components by applying controlled pressure to create durable, leak-proof connections (assembly between tubes and plates of tubular heat exchangers used in thermal power plants and nuclear power plants, certain hoses used in aeronautics).
Pressure Test Benches
Our pressure amplifiers are also used for testing components such as tanks or hoses that must withstand high-pressure stresses — either until failure or through fatigue cycles. Applications include components for internal combustion engine injection systems (in the automotive industry), and high-pressure tanks and hoses in various industrial sectors.
Autofrettage Benches
Autofrettage is a process that induces residual compressive stresses on the inner walls of a hollow part subjected to pressure loads, with the aim of significantly increasing its fatigue resistance. The part is subjected to pressure (3,000 to 7,000 bar) for a few seconds, which generates plastic deformation of the inner wall similar to work hardening (very high-pressure components such as valves, tubes, safety valves, cylinders, combustion engine injectors, weapons and firing systems).
The proof test and autofrettage are sometimes performed in a single operation, thus increasing productivity.
Isostatic Pressing Equipment
Isostatic pressing uses high pressure to compact materials uniformly, thereby improving their isotropy. Porosity and internal voids are eliminated under the effect of pressure and temperature through a combination of plastic deformation, creep, and diffusion of the material. This process is used in powder metallurgy for the manufacture of highly technical parts by sintering (ceramic parts used in medical prostheses, carbide cutting tools, high-performance electronic components, aluminum and superalloy processing).
Pascalisation Equipment (High-Pressure Processing – HPP)
Pascalisation, or high-pressure processing (HPP), is a non-thermal sterilization method that uses pressure to eliminate microorganisms while preserving the taste, texture, and nutritional value of food products such as juices, meats, and seafood.
