Our history
1986

HYDROBAR develops the first French ultra high-pressure pump, with applications mainly specialised in waterjet cutting for the food sector.
1995

BOURGOGNE HYDRO, a French manufacturer specialising in hydraulics, acquires the HYDROBAR company and continues to perfect the technology. New generations of machines are then created, with applications extending to manufacturing industry sectors, neutralisation of explosive devices and hydroforming, with several European patent applications.
2006

HYDROPROCESS® is formed, with the aim of continuing to develop the ultra high pressure technology and hydroforming, within an independent limited-liability company. All of the technicians involved since 1995 are kept on by HYDROPROCESS®. By introducing new skills coming from the manufacturing world, HYDROPROCESS® develops its market, mainly in the field of special machines.
2011

Whilst continuing its activity of making special machines for the waterjet cutting and hydroforming sectors, HYDROPROCESS® supplements its product offering by bringing ChefCut® to market. This is a compact waterjet cutting machine, especially for catering professionals, semi-industrial companies and R&D laboratories in food industries.
2015

HYDROPROCESS® wins the French “Stars et Métiers” award in the ‘technical innovation’ category for ChefCut®.
2016

10 years after being created, HYDROPROCESS® has become an essential player in its business sector, with a turnover exceeding €3 M, of which a third comes from export sales.
2020

With more than 200 machines sold, ChefCut® is now an essential tool for all the top pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and caterers in France and worldwide. HYDROPROCESS® updates its range by bringing out a brand-new model with even better performance and many innovative features (two international patents filed).
To support its growth, HYDROPROCESS® adapts its structure by hiring more personnel and setting up new offices.
2022

HYDROPROCESS® is committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach and has joined the regional Convention of Companies for the Climate (CEC) in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
That same year, HYDROPROCESS® launched the ChefCut® two jets, specially designed for professionals in the culinary trades looking to increase their productivity and production capacity.
2024

HYDROPROCESS® hosts the “ChefCut Days,” an event dedicated to French-speaking distributors.
It’s an opportunity to celebrate the 500th ChefCut®, which has firmly established itself as the must-have tool for top pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and caterers in France and around the world.
2024

A new milestone in HYDROPROCESS’s journey, 18 years after its founding: Michèle and Philippe DEREIMS have entrusted EVOLEM—now the majority shareholder—to lead the company into its next chapter.
